Hello Metabos! Just wanted to go over some logistics before the season gets underway.

Draft:

Will be held next Tuesday, 9/6 at 7:15PM Eastern Time. Please check your system to make sure everything is set up correctly before the draft. Also, please make sure to check out the scoring and settings, which have now been finalized.  (NOTE: this is PPR league with 1 point per reception for all players). The draft will be standard snake draft: "In a Live Standard Draft, every team selects one player per round until their roster is full. The draft order reverses each round, so the team that starts the first round will end the second, and the team that ends the first round will start the second."

Draft Order:

I will randomly pick the draft order on this Wednesday (8/31) night at 9PM eastern on Google+ hangout for anyone who wants to verify my integrity (which we all know is highly questionable)

Divisions:

Since 7 of us live in New York and at least half of us have shot ourselves in the leg at New York bar, the names of the 2 divisions will be: 

Division 1: Plaxidental Shooting

Division 2: Buressted Development

There will be two divisions of 5 teams each. If you get an Odd draft pick (1,3,5,7,9), then you will be in Division Plaxidental Shooting, and Even picks will be in Division Burressted Development.

Regular Season:

You will play everyone in your division twice and everyone from the other division once (first 13 weeks). In week 14, you will play one team from the other division based on your draft position. Draft pick 1 will play draft pick 2, pick 3 will play pick 4, etc.  Playoffs begin in week 15.

Playoffs:

Top 2 teams from each division will make the playoffs which will be held in week 15 & 16. This means that even if the 3rd place from Division 1 has a better record than 1st place team in Division 2, the 3rd place team will not advance to the playoffs despite having a better record. We will be using a modified NFL Tie breaking procedure to determine playoff teams within the divisions:

1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
4. Points scored in Head-to-head matchups
5. Points scored in games played within the division
6. Points scored in common games
7. Points scored in all games
8. Coin toss

Week 15 will be the divisional championship game and week 16 will be the overall championship game. Losers of week 15 will play each other in week 16 to determine 3rd place.

Payout:

1st Place: 70% = $350

2nd Place: 20% = $100

3rd Place: 10% = $50
