Draft Recap

Thanks to everyone for an awesome draft.  8 out of 12 is a good showing, especially considering 2 of us live in California. Note: there is a greater chance of The Dawg Pound or El Ninos making the draft from California than Riggin Rigs who lives in New York. There were 39 empty beer bottles so that's 5 beers a person, not to mention people showing up drunk to begin with.

The incredible number of gasps of "WHAT" after a pick was made was astonishing.  Pablo nearly had a meltdown.

The Bet: Cordarrelle vs Torrey

Cordarrelle: 220.5 Projected Points

Torrey: 202.1 Projected Points

Average Joes and Pablo have bet their 3rd round pick (for last round pick) based on higher fantasy points scored between Cordarrelle Patterson (Average Joes) and Torrey Smith (Pablo).  Based on Yahoo projections for our league, Cordarelle has a slight edge (220.5 vs 202.1), though consensus in the room is that Torrey is the better bet.  BTW - can anyone tell which picture is Cordarelle and which picture is Torrey?





Divisions & Schedules

We randomized divisions last night, and I set the schedules this morning using excel random number generator and Footballguys schedule maker.  The Atkins division may be up for grabs given last year's standings.  Nobody was "in the money" and 3 of the 4 teams were in the loser's bracket.  Weight Watchers will be tough, with last year's Champion looking to retain the Belt and pablo who has a formidable starting 5 given the addition of Montee Ball.  Holistic division could be seen as having "lucked out" with Riggin Rigs (0-13 last year) in their division, but with 3 of the top 5 players from last year, including the 2nd and 3rd place teams, this division may be more difficult than it seems.

Suicide Pool

By popular demand, the Pick Em has been replaced by a double elimination suicide pool.  If you don't know how it works, here is a brief overview.  Not everything in the rules is relevant, but you get the gist.
