Playoff Push

Seems like Metabos are not good at reading the official rules as there has been some confusion as to what teams make it to the playoffs. It is the top 2 teams in each division. As of now, seems like 9 teams still have a shot at the playoffs. I am not going to bother looking at tie-breaking scenarios unless we actually get there, but as a reminder:

Playoffs:

Top 2 teams from each division will make the playoffs which will be held in week 15 & 16. This means that even if the 3rd place from Division 1 has a better record than 1st place team in Division 2, the 3rd place team will not advance to the playoffs despite having a better record. We will be using a modified NFL Tie breaking procedure to determine playoff teams within the divisions:

  1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
  4. Points scored in Head-to-head matchups
  5. Points scored in games played within the division
  6. Points scored in common games
  7. Points scored in all games
  8. Coin toss
Week 15 will be the divisional championship game and week 16 will be the overall championship game. Losers of week 15 will play each other in week 16 to determine 3rd place.

NOTE: I don't know what official yahoo playoff rules are, but we are going by Metabo rules so in case yahoo site does something contradictory to our rules, I will edit the league so that the correct teams are in the playoffs. Prepare to be STOMPED.
